A pocketful of pebbles was a commission from a customer who wanted a simple painting of a handful of pebbles for his girlfriend, who is a mad keen collector of interesting stones. I love painting stones and pebbles, so if you’d like something similar, do contact me.

This painting celebrates the incredible work of my hero, the scandalously unsung Alfred Russel Wallace. Wallace came up with the theory of natural selection independently of Darwin and established the study of biogeography.
