It’s so springlike on the lane where we live! The pretty blackthorn blossom is out, and the first bluebells are emerging on the lane’s steep banks. And in early April, before the big trees are in full leaf, you can still just make out the tall, elegant spire of the church of St Peter & St Paul at Church Hanborough, just a quarter of a mile away across the valley.
