Behind my garden fence in Freeland, West Oxfordshire, is a horse chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum). Its foliage tumbles down into the unmown patch of wildflowers below it creating deep shade and dappled light on the edge of the playing field.
Red campion (Silene dioica), cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris), and jack by the hedge (Alliaria petiolata) grow vigorously in this little patch putting on a fabulous display, keeping the insects happy.
A pack of 4 large square greetings cards, two cards each of my paintings Song from the wood and Buried Treasure, both of which are inspired by life that depends on trees. Each card is blank inside, measures 150mm x150mm (6 x 6 inches) and comes with an envelope.
A painting of the voyage of HMS Beagle, the ship on which Charles Darwin travelled around the world -with particular attention to South America - making discoveries as he went that would change the course of natural science.
This painted map of the Wharf Stream Way, a new permissive footpath through the fields and paths to the east of the village of Eynsham, was commissioned by West Oxfordshire District Council for an interpretation panel erected at the start of the walk. The panel gives walkers an idea of the nature they can spot as they walk, and the history of the features to be encountered on the route.
Original painted map - watercolour on paper - size A1 - comes to you unframed. Price includes P&P.
