Aeoniums grow wild and huge over the Isles of Scilly, which lie 26 miles off the south west tip of the UK. Frosts rarely occur here which allows subtropical plants to thrive. These aeoniums were growing out of a stone wall at the Abbey Gardens on the Isle of Tresco.
