I've listened to and read a lot about The Beatles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Fab Four's four sun songs are:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eSun King\u003c\/strong\u003e - from the 1969 album 'Abbey Road' (Lennon\/McCartney)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eI'll Follow the Sun \u003c\/strong\u003e- from the 1964 album 'Beatles For Sale' (Lennon\/McCartney)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eHere Comes the Sun\u003c\/strong\u003e - from the 1969 album 'Abbey Road' (Harrison)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eGood Day Sunshine\u003c\/strong\u003e - from the 1966 album 'Revolver' (Lennon\/McCartney, but mostly Paul)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bird depicted as the 'Sun King', is a Regal Sunbird \u003cspan\u003e(\u003c\/span\u003eCinnyris regius). The bird illustrating 'Good Day Sunshine' is an Eurasian Blackbird \u003cspan\u003e(Turdus merula). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI've used (and mashed!) some groovy 1960 typography. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Beatles impact on culture and society\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI've been a Beatles fan ever since I can remember. I was born in the early 1960s, and their songs and attitudes seeped into me as I grew up. It's only with the benefit of hindsight that we can truly appreciate the huge cultural shift they spearheaded. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey transformed pop music into a serious art form with their incredible sonic innovations (thanks to the genius of the late great George Martin). And they influenced a generation through youth culture rebellion and style. In the process, they threw off post-war drab conservatism and replaced it with vibrancy, hope, creativity and counterculture. I'll take that! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYes, there was something in the ether in the 1960s. But surely The Beatles led the charge.
