The Green Man is the point at which my interests in botany and folk customs meet. I've painted the face of the Green Man numerous times over the years, but until now, never sculpted him. Here are two interpretations of the ancient woodland deity of folklore.
Who is the Green Man?
He seems to exist in humanity's collective folk memory and turns up in cultures throughout the world, down the ages. In the UK, you’ll see his leafy face on pub signs, or carved into the stones of Christian churches. He’s there in Roman and Egyptian art, and was present in prehistory. Humans seem to need him and his promise of new life.
Note: As these each of these Green Men are a significant weight and made of fired clay, they are entirely unsuitable for posting. Collect from me directly in Eynsham, Oxfordshire, or local delivery.

Posting your order
Typically, orders for physical products placed after 12pm on Friday, and on Saturday or Sunday will not be posted until Monday at the earliest. I use Royal Mail to dispatch your order.
If you have ordered multiple items, I will try to post everything together. Occasionally, this is not possible, in which case they will be dispatched in separate packages.
Digital files will typically be transferred to customers within 24 hours via email using WeTransfer, the file transfer website.
